Q. Is HCC approved to accept and enroll both F-1 & M-1 nonimmigrant students?
A. Yes, HCC is approved.
Q. Does HCC provide dormitory for students?
A. No, HCC does not have dormitory facility.
Q. How do I know what level is best for me?
A. All students are given a placement test upon completion of their registration. Students are assigned to the appropriate level based on the results of that test.
Q. How do I advance to the next level?
A. Students may take an achievement test midway through the program or at the end of the twelve-week period. In addition, students may take the test at any time upon recommendation of the instructor.
Q. What if I have to return to my country during the holiday?
A. That is not a problem. Students simply resume their classwork when they return to the U.S. Please don't forget to fill out Request ofr Leave of Absence form and receive a signature from the director on your original I-20 form before you will travel outside of the United States (It will take ONE WEEK to receive I-20 back).
Q. What textbooks are used?
A. HCC currently uses the Spectrum series and the Azar Understanding and Using English Grammar series in the morning grammar classes. No texts are needed for the afternoon classes. Click on the Text Book menu for more information.
Q. Where do students go for lunch?
A. There are tables at the patio area where students could bring their lunch and eat. The school building has a small cafe and two big supermarkets are nearby. Also there are many choices for various cuisines within walking distance. |
